Password Generator
This free password generator creates strong, random passwords entirely in your browser — nothing is sent to any server.
Free, no signup.
What makes a password strong?
Length and randomness make a password strong, not clever substitutions. A random 16-character password using letters, digits and symbols would take longer than the age of the universe to brute-force.
Avoid anything a person picked. Words, names, dates and keyboard patterns are the first things cracking tools try.
How to use this password generator
Pick a length, choose which character sets to include, and press Generate. Copy puts the password on your clipboard, and nothing ever leaves your browser.
Use a different password for every account and keep them in a password manager. Then one leaked site can't unlock the rest.

Frequently asked questions
Are these passwords safe to use?
Yes. Passwords are generated locally in your browser using the cryptographically secure Web Crypto API and are never transmitted or stored.
How long should my password be?
Use at least 16 characters for important accounts. Longer passwords with mixed character sets are exponentially harder to crack.
Should I exclude ambiguous characters?
Enable 'exclude ambiguous' if you may type the password by hand, to avoid confusing characters like 1, l, I, 0 and O.
