What exactly do I get with TPC Workspace?
A dedicated, isolated container running a full collaboration workspace: file sync & share, browser-based Office, HD video meetings, team chat, shared calendars & contacts, and electronic signatures. One URL, one login, one invoice — everything included on your chosen tier.
How is this different from Dropbox or Google Workspace?
Two differences. First, isolation: your team gets its own container — not a row in a shared multi-tenant database. Nobody else's traffic, outages or data-leaks touch you. Second, data sovereignty: you choose the region (EU / US / custom), and on Enterprise you can run it on your own hardware. Dropbox and Google Workspace can't give you either.
What technology is TPC Workspace built on?
TPC Workspace is powered by Nextcloud, the open-source collaboration platform trusted by the German federal government, the French Gendarmerie, the EU Commission, Deutsche Telekom and 800,000+ other organisations. We run a hardened Nextcloud instance per customer in Docker containers on our own EU / US infrastructure, with custom hardening, managed updates, and 24/7 monitoring.
Can I use my own domain (workspace.mycompany.com)?
Yes, on Business and Enterprise. Point a CNAME to our platform, we handle SSL via Let's Encrypt automatically. Starter plans run on team-name.tpc-workspace.com.
Where is my data stored?
You choose: EU (Germany & Romania) or US (east coast). Data never leaves the region you pick. Enterprise plans can specify custom regions or use-your-own-hardware deployments. ISO 27001-aligned data centres, AES-256 encryption at rest and in transit.
Can external clients access shared files without an account?
Yes. Share links work for anyone — with optional password, expiry date, download limit and view-only mode. Upload-only portals let clients send files into your workspace without signing up for anything.
How do I migrate from Dropbox / Google Drive / OneDrive?
Self-serve: drag your Dropbox folder into the desktop sync client — everything uploads in the background. For teams moving more than 50 GB, we include free white-glove migration on Business and Enterprise: we pull the files directly from your old provider, preserving folder structure and shares.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
30-day export window. Download everything — files, Office docs, calendar, contacts, chat history — in open formats (no lock-in). After 30 days, your container and all data are permanently destroyed. No lingering copies.
