TPC VPS Hosting runs on Virtualizor (KVM, x86_64) and supports a wide range of stable Linux distributions. You can pick your distribution at order time, or reinstall the server with a different one any time later from your control panel.

Currently supported distributions

  • AlmaLinux — 8.9, 9.7, 10.0, 10.1
  • CentOS — 10.0
  • Debian — 12, 13.0, 13.4
  • Fedora — 44
  • Rocky Linux — 8.8, 9.6, 10.0, 10.1
  • Ubuntu — 18.04, 20.04, 22.04, 24.04, 26.04

All templates ship as a clean base install on KVM. Root credentials are generated automatically at provisioning and are available in your TPC client area.

Reinstalling with a different distribution

You can switch your VPS to any other supported distribution without losing the VPS itself — your IP address, plan and billing stay exactly the same. Important: reinstalling wipes the existing data, so back up anything you need to keep first.

  1. Log in to your Virtualizor Control Panel from your TPC client area.
  2. Open the Rebuild section from the left side panel.
  3. Pick the template you want to install.
  4. Confirm. The reinstall typically completes in 2–5 minutes.

Need something that's not on the list? Custom images on request.

If you need a distribution, version or pre-built image that isn't in the list above, just open a support ticket and we'll set it up for you. Any customer can request a custom image — not just managed VPS plans. Common requests we accommodate:

  • A specific point release of a supported distro (e.g. an older Ubuntu LTS pinned for compatibility)
  • A custom ISO you'd like us to provision from
  • A pre-built image with your stack already installed (e.g. a specific kernel, control panel, or application server)

Tell us in the ticket what you need and what it's for, and we'll let you know how soon we can have it ready.
