Transferring a domain moves its registration from your current registrar to TPC Hosting. This consolidates domain and hosting management in one place. A transfer also renews the domain by 1 year in most cases.
Before you start — checklist
- The domain must be at least 60 days old (ICANN requirement).
- The domain must not have been transferred in the last 60 days.
- The domain must not expire within 7 days — renew it first if it is close to expiry.
- Unlock the domain at your current registrar (remove the transfer lock).
- Obtain the EPP/authorization code (also called Auth Code or Transfer Key) from your current registrar.
- Make sure the registrant email address is accessible — you will receive a confirmation email there.
Initiate the transfer
- Log in at https://tpc-hosting.com/login.
- Go to Domains → Transfer a Domain.
- Enter the domain name and click Check Transfer.
- Enter the EPP/authorization code in the provided field.
- Review the price and registration period.
- Add to cart and complete payment.
What happens next
- TPC Hosting submits the transfer request to the domain registry.
- You receive a transfer confirmation email at the registrant email address — you may need to approve it by clicking a link.
- Your current registrar may also send a transfer notification — do not reject it.
- The transfer completes within 5–7 days for most TLDs (.com, .net, .org). Some country-code TLDs (.uk, .de) have different processes and timelines.
Does the transfer affect my website or email?
No — if your nameservers remain the same during the transfer, your website and email continue to work without interruption. The transfer only moves the registration, not the DNS settings or hosting.
If you are also moving hosting to TPC Hosting at the same time, set up and test the new hosting first, then update the nameservers to ns1.b2b-server.net and ns2.b2b-server.net after the transfer completes.
Transfer stuck or rejected?
Common reasons a transfer fails:
- Domain is still locked at the current registrar
- Incorrect EPP code — obtain a fresh one
- Transfer confirmation email was not approved (check spam folder)
- Domain is within the 60-day lock period after a recent registration or transfer
