Samsung devices include a built-in Email app separate from Gmail. Follow these steps to add your TPC Hosting email account to the Samsung Email app.
What you will need
- Your full email address (e.g. you@yourdomain.com)
- Your email password
- Your mail server hostname — find this in cPanel under Email Accounts → Connect Devices. It is typically mail.yourdomain.com.
Add the account
- Open the Samsung Email app.
- Tap the three-line menu icon (hamburger menu) in the top-left corner.
- Tap the Settings gear icon.
- Tap Add account.
- Tap Other.
- Enter your full email address and tap Manual setup.
- Select IMAP account.
Enter the incoming server settings
- Email address / Username: your full email address
- Password: your email password
- IMAP server: mail.yourdomain.com
- Security type: SSL/TLS
- Port: 993
Tap Next.
Enter the outgoing server settings
- SMTP server: mail.yourdomain.com
- Security type: SSL/TLS
- Port: 465
- Authentication required: enabled
- Username: your full email address
- Password: your email password
Tap Next.
Finish setup
- Choose your preferred sync frequency and notification preferences.
- Give the account a name to identify it in the app sidebar.
- Tap Done. Your inbox will begin syncing.
Troubleshooting
- If port 465 is rejected, try SMTP port 587 with STARTTLS security.
- Confirm the exact server hostname in cPanel: Email Accounts → Connect Devices.
