If you want to move your domain registration to a different registrar, you will need to unlock the domain and obtain the EPP/authorization code from TPC Hosting.
Step 1 — Unlock the domain
- Log in at https://tpc-hosting.com/login.
- Go to Domains and select the domain you want to transfer.
- Look for Registrar Lock or Transfer Lock and set it to Disabled.
- Save the change.
Step 2 — Get the EPP/authorization code
- On the same domain management page, look for Get EPP Code, Authorization Code, or Transfer Key.
- Click to request the code — it will be sent to the registrant email address on file.
- Check your email. The code is typically a string of 8–16 characters.
If you do not see the option, contact TPC Hosting support and we will provide the code.
Step 3 — Initiate the transfer at the new registrar
- Go to your new registrar's transfer page.
- Enter the domain name and the EPP code when prompted.
- Complete the transfer process at the new registrar.
- Approve any confirmation emails sent to the registrant email address.
Important notes
- A domain transfer does not cancel hosting. Your hosting plan continues and is billed separately. Cancel it from the client area if you no longer need it.
- Transfers typically extend the domain registration by 1 year — the cost is charged by the new registrar.
- Your website and email continue to work during the transfer as long as the nameservers remain the same.
- Once the transfer is complete, TPC Hosting no longer has control over the domain.
